Flinders Resources Appoints Process Manager at Kringel Graphite Project, Sweden

Vancouver, Canada

Flinders Resources Limited (“Flinders”) (TSXV — FDR). Mr. Martin McFarlane, President & CEO announces that Flinders has appointed Dan Pettersson as Process Manager at the Company’s 100% owned Kringel graphite mine in central Sweden.

Dan joins Flinders from Lundin Mining’s Zinkgruvan base metals mine in Sweden where for the past 10 years he has been the section head for the enrichment operations which processes the zinc ore to concentrate. Prior to joining Zinkgruvan, Dan was the process engineer at the Kringel (formerly known as Woxna) graphite mine. Dan has qualifications in engineering.

Mr McFarlane states: “Dan’s appointment adds significant processing capability to Flinders that will facilitate the rapid refurbish the Kringel mill and maximise graphite revenue by optimising the recovery of high grade large flake graphite, which attracts a notable premium over powder graphite. In the current competitive global market for mining personnel, it is pleasing to attract such a high calibre person, with Dan’s extensive technical experience, and also with excellent knowledge of Flinders Kringel plant.”

In March, Flinders announced it had initiated a drill program of 35 holes for 2,500 metres at the main Kringel deposit with the aim of reclassifying the historic graphite resources estimates to current NI 43-101 standards, and test for extensions of the deposit below 50 metres and along strike.

To date, 20 holes for 1,923 metres have been completed. While assays have yet to be received, drilling has intersected graphite mineralisation where expected and over widths that are, on average, thicker than predicted. Additionally, several deeper holes up to 135 metres in length have encountered new zones of graphite below the historic resource that was drilled, on average, to only 50 metres depth.

Drilling is expected to be completed around the third week of May. Final assay results are expected toward the end of June with completion of resource modelling and reporting toward the end of July 2012.

The qualified person for the Kringel project is Mr. Geoff Reed, a consultant to Flinders Resources Limited and Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CP), has reviewed and verified the contents of this release
